Content Policy

Mix2um is a music playlist community built on creativity, discovery, and respect. This Content Policy outlines what is and is not allowed on the platform. All users — including those who post playlists, leave comments, or interact with content — are expected to follow these guidelines.
1. Allowed Content
Mix2um is designed for sharing music playlists and music-related discussion. Content that is welcome includes:
- Curated playlists with tracks from supported platforms (e.g., YouTube)
- Original descriptions, themes, or commentary about music
- Genre-specific or mood-based collections
- Constructive feedback and engagement on other users' mixes
- Community discussions centered around music culture and taste
2. Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted on Mix2um:
Illegal Content
Content that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to: copyright infringement, distribution of pirated material, content that facilitates illegal activity, or content involving minors in harmful ways.
Harassment and Hate Speech
Content that targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or national origin in a hateful, threatening, or discriminatory manner. Sustained targeted harassment of other users is strictly prohibited.
Violence and Graphic Content
Content that glorifies, promotes, or depicts real-world violence, self-harm, or dangerous behavior. Fictional creative content must not cross into promoting actual harm.
Spam and Manipulation
Artificially inflating engagement through bots or coordinated activity, posting repetitive promotional content, or creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions.
Impersonation and Deception
Impersonating other users, public figures, or Mix2um staff. Creating misleading content designed to deceive or manipulate the community.
Privacy Violations
Sharing another person's private or personally identifiable information without their consent ("doxxing"), including addresses, phone numbers, or financial information.
Irrelevant or Non-Music Content
Content that is entirely unrelated to music — such as political manifestos, commercial advertising unrelated to music, or off-topic spam — is not appropriate for the platform.
3. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Mix2um respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. You may not post content — including track links, cover images, or descriptions — that infringes on third-party copyrights.
We respond to valid copyright takedown notices in accordance with applicable law. If you believe your work has been used without permission, please contact support@mix2um.com.
4. Reporting Content
If you encounter content that violates this policy, please use the in-platform report feature on any post or comment. Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes appropriate action based on the severity and context of the violation.
Reports are confidential. We do not notify the reported user of who submitted the report.
5. Enforcement
Violations of this Content Policy may result in:
- Removal of the offending content
- A warning issued to the user
- Temporary suspension of posting privileges
- Permanent account termination for severe or repeated violations
We aim to be consistent and fair in enforcement, but reserve the right to act at our discretion when content poses a risk to users or the community.
6. Appeals
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may appeal the decision by contacting our moderation team at support@mix2um.com within 14 days of the removal. Please include the content in question and the reason you believe it complies with this policy.
7. Policy Updates
This Content Policy may be updated as the platform grows. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of Mix2um after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
